You are bidding on the guitar Pictured. model FG-180. Laminated Spruce Top. mahogany sides. Very Nice sounding guitar.  Made japan. Tuners Stamped Yamaha.  Red lable. Serial # T0079967. I beleieve made in 1970. includes chipboard case

Guitar looks in Very good vintage condition,  some minor scratches from use. action is a little high but decent. Needs some new strings as they are old, Hi E snapped when I was detuning it.  Please see pictures for Condition. no reserve auction - better bid NOW or lose it later when you forget to bid.

this guitar was actually made in Taiwan, not japan. first year of production in taiwan. please see the info taken from the net "not all red label FG guitars were made in Japan.

If the serial number starts with a "T" it would have been one of the first Yamaha guitars made in Taiwan.

Around November of 1970 Yamaha bagan production of some guitar models Taiwan ROC. The red labels were used for about a year or so before changing over to the brown/beige label. A "T"  was added to the serial number of those made in Taiwan to differentiate them from those red label models made in Japan"
