Vintage Acoustic Guitar

This is an incredible vintage japanese-made acoustic guitar. I hate to sell her. I had been looking for one in this condition for quite some time after I had heard my first Suzuki. I have had the Yamaha 300 and 340, and 2 other Suzuki`s, a W-150 and another W-300. All of the others were very good, but were sold.

This one was kept. 

This is a 1976 Suzuki W-300(serial #760519) with the all original "Three S" written in green script on the tuners and made in Nagoya Japan by The Suzuki Violin Co. during the golden years of japanese guitar making.

This was at the high-end of japanese acoustics during the 1970`s("300" meant 300,000 yen to buy at that time). Easy low action, great sound and projection for strumming chords and fingerstyle. It is a a very ornate instrument; wonderful block inlays down the fretboard that have an incredible green-gold hue, and green tortoise-figured inlay framing the instrument all around with the aged binding that has evolved to a very nice golden patina.

2 Minor cosmetic issues: a corner-only headstock repair, and a previous owner had etched his name---Gary--- into the top of the guitar. It is a very light etch, not easy to see in certain lights and from a distance, but it is there. Neither affects playability, sound or functionality. 

This has a solid spruce top, with a 3-piece laminated Rosewood back, and sides. It has a soft 'V' contour neck, and plays like an electic guitar...very low action, no buzzing, easy playing. Great vintage acoustic in "very good" condition, made in the Suzuki "Violin" factory, a fully functional trussrod, and a recent pro setup(fretboard leveled/dressed/ polished for new owner). Wonderful balanced acoustical properties.

String height is 2mm at the 12th fret. Plays very nice, easy, like butter even at the higher registers.

Fretboard is a nice rosewood, the bridge is ebony or an extremely tight, dark rosewood (probably ebony).
