Silvertone Blonde Beauty Maple Hollowbody Archtop Harmony / Kay 

Just in, it
appears as fresh from a closet, untouched and original in a
beautiful natural yellow blond finish.  Silvertone Harmony
/Kay brand Maple Archtop acoustic Guitar in gently used
condition. The Serial number from what I could find matches more
closely to a Kay brand, it's stamp marked inside N-3 L6186 
688.  Over all condition is excellent, no cracks or
repairs, the only faults I find are purely cosmetic, belt buckle
wear to the finish on the back, a few small blemishes and the
binding around the top at the waist appears to have shrunk a bit
on one side so the binding has stretched away from the body
leaving a small air gap behind, and the binding strip on one side
of the neck below the headstock at the top of the fret board has
lifted a bit as well (see headstock image).  The body, back
and sides are natural blonde finished Maple, the tops I know are
usually spruce so I assume the top on this piece is spruce as
well. The ribbon line on the top above the pick guard I thought was a surface mark from a felt pen but close inspection indicates it's an anomaly in the wood grain itself. According the Harmony Database website this appears to be
one of the designs based on the Harmony H1325. No buzz when
strummed and with the few chords I can play it sounds good over
all. It hasn't been professional inspected but appears to be a good sound playable guitar with a unique sound that can only
come from one of these old archtops. The case is an old Vega
Co. cardboard in very used condition. Sorry about the quality of
the images, outdoor lighting this time of year has hampered my
ability to get consistent photos. For general information on items that end without a bid, on items I decide to re-list it's my natural inclination to re-list at a higher starting price rather than a lower one. Scroll down the auction page to see additional photos.
