Vintage Acoustic Guitar

Available for your musical enjoyment, is a used, vintage 60's Sears & Roebuck(made by Silvertone) acoustic guitar, with an old school natural finish, contrasting black faux binding front and back, and tortoise pickguard. The rosewood bridge actually has a brass saddle for excellent sustain. This is a cool example of an early American-made acoustic guitar that has survived the rigors of time. This Sears and Roebuck acoustic guitar is complete and unadulterated. Lots of kids got these under their Christmas trees back in the day when the Sears catalog ruled. Silvertone made lots of cool guitars for Sears in the 60's and 70's.

This vintage 60's Sears and Roebuck acoustic guitar plays really nice, and resonates well. The body is a smaller, parlor size, which fits easily on your lap, and allows you easy reach. The feel of the neck is good, and quite comfortable.  The strings were just changed to a set of D'addario Lights 10-46, giving this a light, yet responsive attack. This guitar can really rock, belt out twangy country vibe, still get bluesy too. 

Condition:

This used vintage 60's Sears & Roebuck is stock, and shows signs of normal use. This guitar plays good, sounds good, is set-up for maximum playabilty.  There are some minor scratches, nicks, etc., as pictured, but all in all nothing serious or that affects its play, or tone. The neck is straight, the frets are still in good shape, and this guitar can sound mellow or rowdy, depending on how hard you decide to play it. Comes with an old chip-board hard-case. Not pretty, but still protects.
