Sho Bud Vintage Diamond Acoustic Guitar
Vintage Martin D-19 Acoustic Guitar Rare Like D-18 D19
Up for auction, is a vintage C.F. Martin D-19 acoustic guitar. This is guitar is in excellent playing condition. It plays great and sounds even better. This is a pretty rare model. I have read that only 30 were made. I don't know if this is true, but I know I have never seen another guitar like this. It is basically a D-18 with a dark finish on the top. This guitar has the spruce top, not the mahogany that you see on D-19m guitars. This guitar has a mahogany neck and back. The sides are also mahogany, and the body is completely bound. The tuners are original Martins. There was a crack on the top, and on the top upper bout. Both have been professionally repaired, and are stable. The guitar has several dings and scratches, but I think that they give it character. It looks really cool. The sound is everything that you would expect from a Martin dreadnought. It has a very focused tone, and plenty of volume. It doesn't have the boomy sound that you hear from some of the large Martins. This guitar will cut through the mix. The action is very nice. It's not spongy, but it is not painfully high like a lot of Martin guitars I have played. The neck feels really comfortable. The guitar has a set of brass bridge pins. A pickup and preamp have been installed. The pickup works fine, and sounds nice. This is a players guitar. It would be well suited for nearly any musical style. Great for bluegrass flatpicking. I have tried to provide plenty of pictures of the guitar, so please look at them closely. Sorry, but I don't have the original case. I have a vintage hardshell that I could include for a small fee. Feel free to ask any questions, and please check our other listings for all things musical. Thanks for looking.
