Vintage Acoustic Guitar

1967 Gibson Hummingbird, Ser. # 885672 ,                      Spruce top, multi. binding, cherry sunburst. 
Mahogany back and sides. Rosewood adjustable bridge.Original pins. Rosewood fretboard, adjustable brass nut.Mother of pearl inlays, parallelagram. Grover Tuners, stamped made in W. Germany.New bone saddle & bone nut with brass nut.Neck width  one 11/16 ( same as Les Paul ) Action measures 25 .5 inch, saddle to nut.
     I bought this guitar in 1979 and now its time to find it a new home.
  The bridge was refastened in 1995,  professional job done from the inside,this is the same original adjustable bridge. Many of the 60's hummingbirdshave had fixed bridges installed,  disappointing. The saddle and nut gave it up.I replaced both of them with high grade bone. While shopping for these I found a brassnut for a Les Paul, it had slotted screws for each string. Perfect fit. I like it, new owner will get both.Easy to change, loosen strings a little, slide one out, slide one in, re-tune.   The binding around the body has changed to a rich butterscotch color. There is a lot of checking and craze with lines on the spruce top.All this gives this guitar a very vintage appearance.  
  Included, a hard shell case with metal binding, no dents. Its in very good shape and all the latches and hinges are tight.Some light surface rust on hardware, no key for lock.                                               New strings, bronze lights. 9 volt 440 tuner and strap.   There are several nicks and chips that are not visible in the photos. There is some peeling on the Gibson and crown at the top of the neck.              A jack hole located bottom,rear has been plugged.   One picture of the inside, taken with an iphone, amazing detail.Everything looks great.
   This is a very easy playing guitar with smooth action and great sound.         Real vintage, original Gibson, no problems.  This is a truly fine musical instrument.
