Vintage Acoustic Guitar

*****Item Description*****

Here we have a nice vintage c.1951 Gibson J-45, fon # 7623 22.  The guitar kind of makes me cry when I look at it.  We haven't heard the guitar and while it its possible it will sound good, someone definitely made some bad decisions with this one.  

The top and back are in great shape, very clean with light play wear.  The bridge has been reglued and is securely fixed to a nice flat top.  The firestripe pickguard is gorgeous.  The outside of the guitar is sharp however when you look inside you will see a different story.  Someone has applied some kind of glue or spray foam to all of the interior braces that could be reached without taking the top or back off.  The top and back braces with the exception of the ones at the very bottom have been covered with this glue.  The guitar doesn't have any tuners and it looks like the holes have been widened to 3/8" inches.

The width at the nut is 1 11/16" inches.  The guitar comes with the a newer gig bag.
