Vintage Acoustic Guitar

here we have a vintage 1936 Gibson L-OO acoustic guitar. these did not receive a serial number but the factory order number on the neck block is 947B with a red penciled 27 below it.  this is a one owner guitar, the owner passed away 9 years ago and we recently purchased this from his son ( also see our auctions for his other guitar, a pristine condition 1954 Gibson Les Paul Junior from the first batch of Juniors made in 1954 ! ) the guitar is in good shape with no cracks or breaks, no loose braces or bellying of the top.  2 small plugged holes on the top from a pickup, there is also a jack located on the rim or the guitar but it is not hooked up to anything.  the original owner carried this through WW II while in the navy and the original case was ruined but the guitar luckily survived remarkably well.  original tuners work perfectly, one replaced bridge pin, some sticker residue left on the back as shown in the pics, neck set is good and the guitar plays and sounds as it great, very loud and full for a small bodied instrument. I can see why these are sought after, it's sound belies it's size. very nice v type neck, truss rod functions perfectly, typical lacquer checking but no missing finish and no flaking, some strumming wear to the top as can be seen in the pics, some wear to the fretboard as shown but the frets are fine with plenty of life left in them, this needs nothing at all, unpack it and play it ! has a cheap chipboard case but will be safely double boxed for shipping
