VINTAGE 1907 Gibson H-2 MANDOLA (SAME FEATURES AS THE A-4 MANDOLIN) WITH ORIGINAL HARDSHELL CASE!!!  A nice example with beautiful abalone inlaid Gibson logo, fleur-di-lis and inlaid tuner buttons!  Just back from guitar tech/luthier for checkup/cleaning/setup/intonation/ with a fresh set of strings.  Already plays wonderfully and sounds very nice!   Often lost/discarded pickguard Gibson tailpiece cover is present.  Nicks, scratches and dings as expected with  a 104-year old instrument.  Some light checking/ wear in finish on top.  One repaired crack on the top, one on the side.  Both done lone ago and are very stable Lower part of back seam appears to have been re-glued at some point--back otherwise very clean.  Prior owner says these aforementioned repairs were done over 30 years ago prior to his purchase. While setting the instrument up recently guitar tech/luthier also discovered some separation of the center seam on back of the of neck which he re-glued--as you can see in  the recent pics I added since it runs along the seam that was already there it's really not noticeable!  The original case, which opens on the bottom, was taped over years ago.  It is solid (after being taped) and the clasp works well.  A great deal on a vintage H-2 mandola! Buy it now!!!<P>Payment due within one week of the end of auction.  Shipping is 40 dollars via FEDEX with insurance included to the lower 48 states.  Local pickup is fine but item must still be paid for within 1 week and picked up within 1 week of payment.  Shipping costs on a case-by-case basis for the non-continental US (Alaska HI).   I will not ship this item without insurance.  For purchases paid for with Paypal I will take the item to my shippers within 2 business days of payment.   EBAY now requires that sellers specify a handling time. I will not use any other shipping method so please do not ask. I also will only ship items fully insured for the full value the item sells for, so the buyer will be responsible for paying any customs/duty fees for the full sale value.
