This auction is for an iconic 1974 Gibson Dove Custom acoustic guitar in cherry sunburst finish. I purchased it from the original owner. This 36 year-old all original beauty was born in the Gibson Kalamazoo plant according to the serial number B002XXX stamped on the back of the headstock. The Gibson sticker on the inside of the guitar is in tact. The finish is in great shape and the intonation and response of the guitar is full and legendary due to the solid Spruce top and solid Maple back/sides. The Ebony bridge with pearl doves is still solid with no separation from body. The neck is straight and action great. Some fret wear on the first 2 frets. Original nut, truss rod cover and Gibson Grover tuners. The binding is a nice vintage yellow and intact throughout the guitar. There are some regular wear like surface scratches and dents. The Gibson hardshell case has a great vintage look and is in great shape. All the latches work and handle is in tact. A strap button was added to the neck and a Fishman pickup is installed under the saddle.

As a bonus, I will include six brand new sealed sets of Fender 60L Phosphor Bronze acoustic strings and a gold Kyser Capo. This beauty is a vintage lovers dream and an investment that will only increase in value. Own a piece of history and buy now!
