Vintage Acoustic Guitar

1968 Gibson B 45 12 string.  a favorite of Leo Kottke, Gordon Lightfoot, and other great 12 string players. 

easy to play.  the low E string is 1/8" or 4 cm at the 12th fret! and no buzz! The neck is straight and true and it has the huge, sweet Gibson "12" tone. great sustain. 

Solid Spruce top. Mahogany back and sides.  Rosewood fingerboard and bridge.  All original and in excellent condition except for the replaced tailpiece/trapeze which works fine except it is the right trapeze but the wrong tail piece (see photo).  So it's not perfect cosmetically, so you'll have to fix that if you want it to look completely right. But you don't have to do anything on the play side...it's terrific and it's a classic Gibson. 

It has has lots of finish checking, and no cracks dings or scratches. It is a wonderful playing instrument all around, and a classic vintage piece of guitar history. I'll keep listing it until a serious buyer steps up, but don't bother low-balling the price, because I'll keep it. Reasonable offers will be considered.   It will ship in an excellent hard shell case.  buyer pays insurance and shipping.   Shipping is $85 flat rate in the contiguous U.S. anywhere else pays actual shipping cost.
