This is a 1964 vintage Epiphone FT-85 Serenader 12-string made by Gibson in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  It comes with a recent hardshell case made/modified specifically for a Gibson B-25 12-string (the Gibson equivalent of the Serenader).  The guitar appears original except for the tuners which say Gibson deluxe instead of the usual Kluson deluxe.  The tuners are definitely nicer than the originals in terms of stability of tuning.  The guitar has a chimy, silky, yet punchy sound with long-lasting sustain.  It is in good playing condition, with the exception of some buzzing in the 11th-15th fret zone on the D and G strings especially.  If you play that far up the neck the action should be raised.  Right now it is set pretty low and I have extra light gauge strings on it to reduce tension.  The neck is straight.  The local luthier here repaired a minor soundhole crack a couple years ago.  The top is not perfectly flat, with some sinkage around the soundhole and lifting behind the bridge.  There is a cosmetic blemish on the top and a sizeable scratch on the back (see pictures).  Other than this, the guitar has a pleasing appearance and sound.  The top has aged to a nice amber color.  I am selling it and a couple other items to finance the completion of a recording project.  Please see my other listings if interested in a vintage Gibson lap steel or a recent Savage amplifier.

USA bidders only.  Shipping costs to AK, HI, PR will be $25 higher than shown.  I will pay insurance for the sale amount.  Please ask all questions before bidding.  Buyer will have a 7-day period in which a return could be made.  Shipping and insurance will be paid by the buyer if a return is made.  Thanks for looking and good luck!
